Davida Milo
she/her
B.S. Applied Mathematics and Computer Specialization, 1990
Davida was the only student from her Miami, FL high school to move across the country to attend UCLA. She was immediately drawn to Mathematics as a major, having discovered a love for calculus in high school. Late in her college career, UCLA offered a Computer Specialization, which Davida opted to pursue even though it extended her time at UCLA by one quarter. This specialization proved incredibly useful and opened doors to several opportunities. She spent several decades leading development of technology and business solutions, first as a consultant for Accenture.
Next, she worked as the Global Head of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology platform for PIMCO, a financial services firm and former client. There, she led a team designing and delivering technology and training for client servicing, sales, marketing, and other operational business units. After leaving PIMCO 13 years later, she registered an LLC and served several Southern California clients as an independent CRM strategy consultant. More recently, she has enjoyed more time with family and focused on volunteering as part of UCLA’s Division of Physical Sciences’ Board of Advisors, where she’s been a member for the past 12 years. She credits a combo of a strong STEM education plus people skills with facilitating her career success.
