The study of matter and its interactions at the most fundamental level, quantum physics asks questions that have the power to propel human society forward and reshape not only our understanding of the universe but potentially the universe itself. UCLA faculty are nationally recognized quantum science and technology experts, leading the way in cutting-edge research as part of a national effort to speed the development of quantum computers, train the next generation of quantum experts, and tackle this field’s most challenging problems.
The 2022-23 academic year saw the launch of UCLA’s lab-based quantum master’s degree program – the first of its kind in the nation! The inaugural class graduated just this past June.
There has never been a better time to invest in the remarkable science and students engaged in quantum initiatives at UCLA, as we are well primed to lead quantum science and technology to unprecedented heights for the benefit of all.
