Come find out why students love the AOS department!

Current/undecided students are invited to join Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences annual Zoom orientation on Thursday, October 5th from 4:30 – 6pm. We are the best department at UCLA for learning how to apply science to address environmental challenges, predict extreme weather events, and study space weather. AOS also features the new Climate Sciences major, which is the only major of its kind in the country! Come find out why students love the AOS department and why it’s right for you!

We are a small and friendly department, and many students tell us that they love the small classes with a lot of project-based learning, the friendly faculty, and the many opportunities for research, outreach, and other activities.

The orientation will go over the AOS majors, research opportunities, course schedules, career opportunities, and will feature a panel discussion with XEP, the AOS undergraduate club.
