A strong education in Data Theory is more important than ever.
Several of our faculty members are using mathematical models to predict and help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and provide resources for the community. Even during these difficult times, we remained dedicated to offering high-quality instruction to help Bruins stay on track with career goals and aspirations.
Gifts to support our Data Theory Major contribute to the Mathematics and Statistics Departments’ history of excellence and the global impact of research by our students and faculty.
Discretionary Fund
The most flexible donor fund is used for immediate, one-time needs. These may include visiting lecturers and scholars, graduate recruitment, conferences, seminar support, or equipment for research and instruction.
Endowments
Endowments provide a lasting legacy of support for Data Theory and the critical scientific discovery it is making toward the understanding and architecting of data. From these investments, awards are given to outstanding students for service and positive contributions to the departmental community, achievement in academics and teaching, recruitment, conference travel, and more. Endowed faculty chairs are also critical to retaining the best mentors and educators within our department.
