Statistics and Data Science
I am a fourth year transfer student majoring in Statistics and Data Science. During my undergrad I volunteered as a math tutor for a local non-profit organization in my neighborhood working with grade school students. During my time there I also enjoyed helping out the drive-thru pantry and serving warm meals for members in the community. In my free time, I love watching movies and crocheting. Due to my interest in film, I hope to explore the intersection of entertainment and data analysis as a potential career path. I am honored to serve on this year’s board with my peers to create a welcoming environment for all physical science students at UCLA.

Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences
I am a fourth year transfer majoring in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science. I am also minoring in Earth and Environmental Science. I was a calculus tutor for my local community college during the 2022-23 school year, where I was educated on microaggressions and gained valuable experience working with fellow students and relating to their struggles and stress with their classes. I enjoy staying active and going to the gym, playing video games, and watching the sunsets on rooftops. I am currently conducting research on weather and am in the process of building a weather station for the MS building rooftop, and will eventually collect data and analyze it. I am looking forward to helping serve the physical science student body and make positive changes to ensure a welcoming environment for all.

Physics and Astronomy
I am a third-year student pursuing a major in Physics, and a minor in Mathematics. I am drawn to the profound and unimaginable truths of what our universe is. Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to live and study in Iceland, a country where renewable energy amazingly provided almost 100% of its electricity production. With a group of engineering students, we circumnavigated the entire island, investigating Iceland’s unique geology and geothermal energy from a thermodynamic perspective. I am eager to participate in further research dealing with the energy and climate crisis. When I’m not completely entangled with problem sets or studying, I pilot single engine aircrafts in my free time. I also enjoy reading, tennis, and shopping. I feel honored to contribute to a team dedicated to values of equity, inclusion, and diversity, values which I believe are fundamental for any educational setting. I am dedicated to supporting all students within our community.
